Vectors and Conservation

A vector is a geometric object that has magnitude and direction.wikipedia Many physical quantities can be described with vectors, such as force, velocity, and acceleration. Many of those quantities also relate to energy, which must be conserved.

Conservation is both the preservation of something in its original state and the act of keeping something in an existing condition. Conservation of energy is a physical law that states that the total energy of an isolated system remains constant.wikipedia

Spellcasting

Every creature with a strength score can actively apply a vector to something. However, that vector need not be applied at the moment of creation. A creature can create a vector but instead of applying it to something, use their strength to store it for later use. Each stored vector physically tires a creature until it is released.

A creature can store vectors without measurable fatigue a number of times equal to half their HD + their Strength modifier (minimum one). A creature can continue storing vectors after this point if they pass a Strength check (DC 10 + 2 per extra storage). If the check fails, they take 2 Strength damage. If the check succeeds, they can store another vector but becomes progessively more fatigued according to the following table. Fatigue from storing extra vectors cannot be healed.

An unconscious creature maintains their stored vectors, but if a creature dies, they apply all stored vectors immediately and randomly.

Extra vectors Level of fatigue
1 Fatigued. If immune, the creature can neither run nor charge.
2 Exhausted. If immune to fatigue, fatigued
3 Unconscious1. If immune to fatigue, exhausted
4 or more One negative level for each extra vector over 3. These negative levels cannot be healed but go away when the vector is applied

1If a creature falls unconscious from reaching this stage of extra vectors, they immediately apply all stored vectors as if they had died.
