Aura Conjuration (teleportation); CL 21+; Slot -; Price -; Weight 4 lb
DESCRIPTION
This smooth curved stone is engraved with archaic draconic words: "Every passage has a backdoor".
When touched, it hums with energy that feels like it's brimming with energy.
It can be bound to a person in a process consuming one unit of mythic power and taking one minute. Once bound,
to all except the one bound, it appears to be a normal stone by all non-magical or (pathfinder) magical means.
To the one bound, it feels bursting with dimensional energy, ebbing and flowing as the stone is carried through
space, pushing against the surface of the stone.
It can be placed into any passageway (doorframe, arch, hole, etc.). As a full-round action, the owner can expend
one use of mythic power to connect two passageways prepared with
prepare passageway. One of the passageways must be the
one the stone is placed into and the other can be any known prepared passageway. The stone appears in both passageways
and can be removed from either, severing the connection.
If a portal already exists in the passageway, the portal is suspended (this time still counts against the duration of
the portal). Dispel magic can disrupt this
connection for 1d4 rounds, DC 32.
When placed into a passageway, dimensional energy seeps from the stone into the passageway, strengthening it.
The passageway's hardness increases by 5, the break DC increases by 10, and the weigh increases in proportion
to the hardness increase. Only the immediate material around the passageway gains this effect.
If the passageway is broken, the connection is broken and the stone drops onto a random side of the connection.
The stone can be endowed with mythic power.
Once endowed, the owner can command the stone to endow two prepared passageways with the mythic power to connect
them as long as the passageways remain endowed and intact. (This amount varies, but you will know before you endow it).
With materials, it takes 10 minutes to build an archway that a medium creature can fit through;
5 minutes to assemble a prepared doorframe.
