DESCRIPTION
These mithral bracelets are simple but elegant bands that shrink or expand to fit around a willing creature's body.
They can be interlocked together into one band with a standard action. Donning or doffing one individual band or both interlocked bands is a full-round action as the bands take time to adjust their size.
When separated, the bands prevent itself and those wearing it from leaving the plane they are on as the spell dimensional anchor, except that it also prevents summoned creatures from disappearing.
Instead, if a summoned creature would disappear, they instead fall unconscious and cannot be made conscious again and disappear when the band is removed.
If an eidolon wears a band, it can wear armor but still shares magic item slots with its summoner.
Touch spells can be cast through the bracelet to affect any wearer of a bound bracelet.
Casting a touch spell though the bracelet worn by a creature unwilling to allow the spell requires a called shot to the arm with a -5 penalty.
The bracelets can be used to cast accept afflication at will targeting a wearer of the bonded bracelet without requiring any checks or spell components.
Wearing the bracelets also grants abilities or bonuses depending on where the bracelet is worn and how many. Wearing a bracelet does take up a magic item slot.
Magic Item Slot | Effect wearing 1 band | Effect wearing 2 interlocked bands1 |
---|---|---|
Headband | Gain +1 bonus to all skills associated with one mental ability2 | Gain +2 bonus to the same mental ability2. Treat this as a temporary inherent bonus and gain any relevant effects (spell slots, skill ranks, etc.) |
Neck | Gain a breath weapon3 | Use your full HD for the purposes of the gained breath weapon |
Body (wings)4, 5 | +5 ft fly speed | Increase fly maneuverability by one step. If already at perfect maneuverability, +4 bonus to fly. |
Belt | Gain +1 enhancement bonus to the creature's existing natural armor bonus. A creature without natural armor has an effective natural armor bonus of +0 | Gain +2 enhancement bonus to Con |
Wrist5 | +5 burrow speed if the wearer has a burrow speed. +1 bonus on attack rolls made with the limb or weapon wielded by this limb | Treat the unarmed attack or weapon wielded by the limb as one size category heavier. Damage die progression |
Feet4, 5 | +5 ft movement speed | Constant feather step and once per day, air step |
1All effects are in addition to the 1 band effect unless stated otherwise.
2Chosen when donned. Once per day at midnight, the wearer can change their choice.
3Base breath weapon: cone, 1d6 fire; Use the rules for true dragon breath weapons for scaling, using half the wearer's HD as an increase to a base HD of 0 to determine which row to use on the Dragon Age Categories Table (use the lower if it is between two rows).
4Wearing interlocked bands on one part does not grant anything. The 2 band effect is gained from wearing one band on each part.
5Wearing one band on each part stacks the 1 band bonus.
The wearer or wearers of the bands can expend a use of mythic power to double the numerical bonuses of any one-band effects
they are benefiting from for up to one hour. For the breath weapon, this effect doubles your effective dragon HD.
Others bonded can expend one use of mythic power to receive one of the active one-band effects as if they were
wearing the band for up to one hour. Receiving an effect in this way does not take up a magic item slot.
Upon being endowed with three mythic power, the endower chooses one bracelet to be strengthened. As long as the bracelets
remain endowed with three mythic power, the chosen bracelet is treated as if it were two interlocked bands. Both bands
count as endowed and mythic power is shared across them as long as they are on the same plane. If on different planes,
only one band is treated as endowed (chosen at random) and the bracelets gain no effect from being endowed.
